How It Works: FitFindr is a free social network for working out. Anyone who has ever made a new year’s resolution can tell you it’s a lot more effective and a lot more fun to stay in shape when you’ve got some support.
FitFindr allows you to search your city or neighborhood to locate the fitness group that’s right for you. Enter your location (city/state/zip/address) and FitFindr will show you a map of your ‘hood complete with all the fitness groups (across 16 different types of fitness) located around you. Examples of “groups” might be a yoga studio, a running store that offers group runs, tennis courts…etc. In addition to “groups”, your search will return a list of “events” and “activities” in each fitness category. You might find a group bike ride, a community roller blading outing or a 5K race. You can also create a group or event yourself and invite others to join.
